This week has been Awesome!

We were able to have our FIRST BAPTISM. So that was a plus.  Other than that our week has been freezing cold, literally. and basketball.
we have a priest in our ward that has a friend who likes to play basketball so we have been slowly teaching him and its good because we get to play basketball almost every day with him.
About the baptism, so we met Alex back in October and we were able to teach her the first couples lessons and we put her on date to be baptized for Dec 16. Then we realized that she doesn't live in our ward boundaries. So we were like crap we have to give her to the Carmel missionaries. So we gave her to the sister missionaries. She ended up pushing her baptismal date back until Jan 6.  But anyways, we were able to help out along the process because she would always call us and ask to meet with us instead of the sisters and tell us her worries.  Eventually she was baptized and that's all that matter. it has been cool to see her faith in Jesus Christ and God grow and it was cool to be able to be that guide for her to feel the spirit.
Also this week, there I was making a fried eggs (well it was actually 3 fried eggs in one big one) and I tried to move the egg over to my plate and one single yolk falls on the floor and splatters everywhere. Then yolk was all over the floor.  10 min later, there I was making eggs in a basket... I know I eat a lot. but I tried to move the bread with the egg inside over to my plate but it was too hot for my fingers so I graciously tossed it to my plate.  It bounced and the bread landed on the plate. BUT. when it bounced the yolk went flying and landed right on the floor again. And again the yolk went everywhere. So rip all the nutrients I didn't get to eat from those 2 yolks.
Everyone the church is true and the book is blue (unless you have a different color).
I love this gospel. I love being a missionary and bringing joy into peoples lives.

Do you see him still eating in the back ground? haha

This mighty group caught the vision of what it means to be purpose driven - to use their missionary purpose to determine all they do, including the use of smartphones.  They were told that the Lord has confidence in them and that they will have the capacity to honor that confidence.

Its Freezing Here! January 2, 2018

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

I loved talking to my family and to all my friends, it was a good surprise to see my best friends there when i was skyping!
But like my subject said it is freezing here! The temperature right now as I currently write this is -8 degrees. There is snow here probably about like 4 inches and then everything else is just ice!. even the roads. It is pretty fun to drive.
The work has definitely slowed down since it is so cold. It is hard to go outside and talk to people because no one is ever outside. People don't like us knocking on their doors because that means they have to open the doors in the freezing temperature. But we have a priest here who likes to play basketball and we are slowly starting to teach one of his friends that we play with. We have grown a good relationship with him.
We will have our first baptism this week so that is pretty exciting!. Her name is Alex and we found her out in downtown Carmel area. We met her back in Octocber, and we taught her the first couple lesson and then we figured out she didn't live in our area so we gave her to the sisters in the ward next to us and they have continued to teach her.  She asked if Elder Pond would baptize her and then she asked if I would confirm her in church the next day so Elder Pond and I are pretty excited about that!.
Other than that not much has happened out here.
