This week we went to the motor speedway thing. It is where the Indy 500 place is. It was super cool.  It had a ton of cars that we could look at and the track is huge. They have a golf course in the middle of it. Also they have a restaurant called 'bubs' and they have a 1 pound burger challenge and you get your picture on the wall if you eat it all. So I am going to try and do it.

Indy North zone set up their smartphones (Wednesday, February 21, 2018) and shared some great experiences they have had recently with using social media to do missionary work. They also had a inspiring visit from their stake president to discuss the stake's mission plan.

So this week has been a little hectic but very good. Elder Murri and I have really made the work start to pick up. These past 2 days have been the busiest days of my mission. But this is going to be a short email.  This week we have seen so many blessings. We were able to put our investigator Charles on date. So that was huge. 

Also I got called yesterday from our Mission President and I will be getting transferred out of Carmel and I am going down to Columbus Indiana. I am super excited.  I will become a Zone Leader down there. It is very cool to see how much my president trusts me. I am super sad to leave this area. This is like home to me. There are families here who I will remember for the rest of my life. I loved being able to serve in Camrel for almost 8 months but I am on to bigger and better things :) idk my new address I will get that next week.

We got smart phones on Wednesday. It is super weird to have them and be on facebook and all. If you haven't added me. add me. I love you all and thank you so much for all your prayers back home. It means a lot to me. I can definitely feel Heavenly Father leading me and guiding me as I do His work. I have grown so much out here on my mission. I am super grateful I took these two years out of my life to serve my father who is in heaven. I know he has a plan for every single one of us and especially for me. I am ready for the next adventure in my life in Columbus.

Church Cancelled! - February 19, 2018

For his 7 month mark Elder Turley made some calls to get into Top Golf for Free.
He got his whole zone in for 2 hours.

This week has pretty good! We have seen so many miracles this week!

       One specifically, we met someone named Charles. He was on a christian music app trying to find some good songs to jam to, and a little add on his phone popped up and said free bible? So Charles thought in his head that he could use a bible... so of course he clicked on the pop up add.  What do you know? A sister missionary from salt lake contacted him and ask some questions and then contacted us and told to go and drop off this bible because he lives in our area.  Charles is the coolest man I have ever met!  So we are teaching him and he was gunna come to church, we even had a member ready to pick him up but church got cancelled (ill explain after). I asked "If you were to come to the conclusion that what we are telling you is true and this book (Book of Mormon) is true, what would be your next step?" and he said ....well then I would wanna join you guys.... he is praying to see if march 24 is a good day for him to be baptized. super cool. He was definitely prepared by Heavenly Father!

   So here in Indiana there is something called 'freezing rain'. its pretty self explanatory. It rains and the ground is so cold that it freezes right away. So there was a layer of ice on EVERYTHING. So they cancelled church. I didn't even know that they could do that. I've never heard of church being cancelled.

     Today is my 7 month mark. So naturally we went to top golf and partied. (FOR FREE). I made the right phone calls and pulled just the right strings and we got 2 hours for free. It was sick.  Time is flying but then again it feels like being back in AZ was a life time ago. I'm excited to see what is in store for me. I love this work. I love this gospel. If we follow the commandments we will be receive blessing on blessing on blessings. It happens.

Ripped My Pants - February 5, 2018

Looks like these great young missionaries and their trainers are doing well.... we had a very good specialized training meeting with them on Thursday, February 9, 2018. We discussed the Doctrine of Christ, how to adjust to missionary life, how to be a powerful missionary and some tips for personal contacting. (Mission Page)

So this week has been good. It was a very long week but it has been good. We are teaching a couple of people but none of them are too solid. We are still searching for solid people to teach. We know god has prepared people and we just need to find those people. But we are looking. 

   So last night we were going to a teaching appointment. and there was some snow outside. I bent down to make a snow ball to throw at someone, and I heard this super loud unfamiliar sound. I stand up and realize that my pants have ripped all the way from my zipper to my mid butt. The biggest hole I have ever seen in pants. None the less, I still went to my teaching appointment. I had on black thermals so you couldn't really tell. But it was pretty funny. We were dying laughing. hahaha good times. 

    But nothing else really has happened. We are getting our smart phones on Feb 21 so that is exciting. It will be very different. I love this gospel. I love all the many blessing we can receive and all we have to do is be obedient. Heavenly Father loves us and he wants to bless us.

Where Did The Week Go? - January 29, 2018

Missionaries in the Indy North Stake attended the Saturday evening session of Stake Conference on January 27, 2018 (as an exception) because the meeting was all about......... missionary work! What a great and inspiring meeting it was. Members and missionaries left feeling uplifted and ready to share the gospel, working together and using technology. (Mission Page)

So this week has been pretty good. Not much has happened but I know it has been good. My life is honestly pretty great. My boss is a better boss than all of your bosses back home... and even if you are the boss back home... mine is still better than you. 

     But this week we did a lot of tracting, I honestly don't remember what else happened.... we went to a Korean cafe where you cook the food in front of you. It's pretty cool. One of our recent converts took us there with her husband.... it was SOOO GOOD! Also we found a random neighborhood in my area that has a lake and the houses are like mansions... I took some pictures for all y'all. 

    By the way if you see me on facebook soon its because we are getting smart phones and we will be using facebook and I was told that we need to change our profile pictures and change our account a little bit.  We need to make them mission appropriate.  My mission president said no shirtless pictures and I have soooo many swim pictures, so those all have to go. so I have a lot of mission proofing to do.. lol. 

    We had stake conference this week and it was all on missionary work it was awesome. Our stake president gave the members a challenge to open up their friends groups and talk to more people and I thought that was an excellent challenge.  The church is true don't forget it. 

ps. Also I played pig with Sister Branch and she beat me and she said if I lost I'd have to post it in here..... sooo s/o sis branch
