We can actually show people the gospel inside of us through our faith and our works

So this week has been super good. We are definitely trying to just put our heads down and work has hard as we can. This area is tough to find but we are slowly trying to get the Hispanic work going. All good things tho.

We went on exchanges this last week and oh man I love the missionaries I am serving around. I took Elder Riddle to my area and it was a blast. He is new to the mission and he is from St George Utah and we definitely "bro'ed" out. He is for sure a homie. And he is hilarious. And he is a red head....

Also we went on exchanges with other missionaries and I went with someone named Elder McCall.. He actually came out with me to the mission and he was in my room with me in the MTC. He is hilarious and we had an awesome time and were able to teach some solid lessons. We definitely "bro'ed" out as well. He is a homie.

My translating skills are getting better because now for church I am constantly translating for my man José  and so now church isn't the most spiritual meeting for me because I am so focused on helping him have a spiritual experience. So right now church is more like work to me. But it's all good. I love serving people.

You guys would not believe how much I have changed out here. Elder McCall and I were talking about where we were at before in the MTC and where we are at now... And we talked about the gospel and how it is literally a tangible thing. And before it was just in the distance and we kinda reached for it and we wanted it... But now as we have learned and progressed and lived it... It is actually inside of us..  We live the gospel now  and now instead of just a wanting it we can actually show people the gospel inside of us through our faith and our works... I love the gospel. My testimony has grown so much and I can truly say that I have actually  received it into my heart..

I love you all and know that I am working hard and loving life!

Plymouth - April 29, 2019

Fred's baptism!!!
South Bend zone Interviews                                                        Glasses Gang

We had a baptism on Saturday!!

Well this week as you know I was transferred out of Indianapolis and now I am now living in Plymouth Indiana.. It is a small farm town in the northern part of Indiana, it is close to Southbend where Notre Dame is.

This week has been good. It has been a weird switch to go to the city and then come back here up north. I missed the north but I really miss the city. I miss the loud streets and the loud music and the busy roads and the tall buildings and houses every 20 feet and all the people and the chaos. I miss it all. Plymouth is very quiet, very small and very white trash.  Everyone just lives off disability... It's so bad. They just sit at home all day and watch TV and get money for being injured... What a life.

But yes the work continues no matter the area. And in fact, we had a baptism on Saturday!!! I was lucky enough to come into this area and they baptized someone but I have gotten super close with Fred and he is a stellar dude. He is so solid and his love for the gospel is amazing. He has completely changed his life and has sacrificed so much to be baptized... I am honored to be here for Fred. Also there are some Hispanics in this area so that's why I am here so that I can help out with the Spanish work and there is a recent convert named Jose Cantero and he is a G. He sits in the back of sacrament and I translate everything for him and then me and him just went into a classroom for the second hour and we just talked about his life and I got to know him... Apparently I'm suppose to one on one teach him... Idk I feel like there is a better solution so I am going to find that solution this week.

I am doing very swell. I love my companion. His name is Elder Paramore. He is from Oregon and everyone has asked if he is older... No he's 19. He's super chill and easy going but we gunna get the work moving here in Plymouth. We have 2 more baptisms coming up these next couple weeks so we are excited.

Also fun fact, I did some family history this past week... Well I didn't do anything I just read up. My family doesn't even know about this and I have been fascinated about what I have read so far.... Apparently my great great great grandpa Turley was best friends with Joseph F Smith and he use to do Joseph Smith's chores for him... And also he basically colonized Arizona and got the church to go down there and also he colonized a bunch of cities in Mexico. And the reason why the church started in Chihuahua Mexico was because of him... He took it there because he was called to by Brigham young... What a legend... So don't be surprised if you see my ggg grandpa in the next saints volumes lol.

I wanna talk to you, and you only. I like you. I like the way you look.

You look straight and not crooked like el diablo

This week has been full of weird experiences... I don't have a lot of time because we are currently sitting outside of a mall and we are on our way to the zoo. So if I don't write this now then I won't have time later...

But transfer calls came this Saturday and I really thought I would be staying here in this branch to finish my mission but fun fact... I am leaving. And I am going back up north!!! I will be serving in the Plymouth branch which in fact is English but apparently there are a bunch of Hispanics and they have Hispanics coming to church so I am going there with an English missionary, Elder Paramore,  I will be translating sacrament every week and doing the Spanish work up there..  I am bummed to be leaving the White River Branch, they definitely took care of me here and I will be missing the Hispanic food. My companion right now, Elder Dalton, is also getting transferred out of here and he is going up north to the area right next to me. So we will see each other. And I will be able to go on exchanges with the zone leaders up there which is my old area so I will be seeing a lot of familiar faces.

Also I will not be the district leader anymore or the zone leader so now I will just be a regular missionary and honestly I am soo excited lol. I can just do the work and not worry about anyone except me and my companion.

Some funny things that happened this week is at 8:45 one night we were knocking doors and this big black dude opens the door and he was speaking Spanish to us acting like he would trick us so we couldn't talk to him and then we spoke to him and he was sooo thrown off but he spoke real good Spanish and he was just an average black dude from Florida but he said he has Mexicans in his family so he learned Spanish. But this guy was soooo drunk. Like bad. And he looked at me and he was standing like 6 inches from me at this point in the convo and he says, "I wanna talk to you, and you only. I like you. I like the way you look. You look straight and not crooked like el diablo." it was sooo funny and my comp was like what about me? And the guy was like "hold up, I'm talking to this man right here, hes not crooked like you" and then he let us in and he said we could come back... But it was very important that I was there because he wants to speak to me and me only but the return appointment is on Wednesday and me and my comp will be gone. So the new missionaries in the area are gunna get a treat. Lol

Also some guy like 10 min ago came up to us in the mall and said he sees demons and he knew the building in France was gunna burn before it happened because one day he took his ring and he threw it on the ground and it turned into a fire breathing dragon and this demon dragon dude told him he was gunna burn it down and so he did research and came to the conclusion that this demon is named asamay (I think). Also this guy has been seeing bad spirits since he was 5. Also fun fact, there were 2 boys in the fire that helped out this demon dude but he doesn't know anything about it but he's gunna ask asamay this week who the boys are...

Man I'm gunna miss the city. I love the people here... But I'm going back to the corn fields and being in the country. But it's only because it's planting season so maybe I'll be able to drive a tractor again... Imma come back and be all hick... The Spanish speaking farmer is legit now.

Well I probably should have spiritual stuff to share buuttttt we are out of time. And I don't want to do this later... Have a good week y'all. Know that I know the church is true... For all the non member on this email (I don't know how many there are) you better watch out once I get home I'm coming for you. Lol jk but the church is true... Try it out. All my in active friends....*cough cough*....Go to church, stop the drugs, I need you in the temple with me at my wedding in the future.

I'm on the highway to hell - April 16, 2019

The Children's Museum.

Yesterday (Wednesday, April 17, 2019) the Indy North and Indy West zones met for zone conference. Two versions of the Indy West zone picture! We learned more about setting goals and planning. We shared insights from General Conference. It was a beautiful spring day in Fishers, perfect for some fun role plays.

The district (shout out to Salazar... She is dying)

Went on exchanges with elder Kinross...                               Hair cuts
Idk why my eyes are closed

New shirts from home.  The old ones have definitely been used!

I am trying to soak it all up as much as I can before it's gone and I'm just a regular person again..

To this week has been super long but it flew by... We had so many things happen this week...
First things first... Miguel, the young man from Peru, received the Aaronic priesthood on Sunday and that was awesome.. I love that dude!! He is so awesome and he is progressing sooo fast.

Second, we just went to the children's museum today and it is soooo big. Fun fact, it is the largest children's museum in the world... And wow we spent like 4 hours there and we could have spent more but I needed to come write my email and talk to my family... It was a fun time. And it is closed on Mondays so that is why I am doing
 p-day today.

Third, we have been bashed sooo much lately. The other day we got bashed by a man from a Pentecostal church and he got right up in my face and he kept putting his finger on chest. And he was probably like a foot from my face and this man was foaming at the mouth he was yelling hahaha. He was funny. He said we ain't saved and we are going to hell if we don't clean up our act and worship God..  Lol sometimes I really do wonder if God loves ALL of his children... jkjk.

Fourth, my testimony..  Well this week we have been working super hard and we have been straight grinding. We have found so many people lately and these past couple weeks Elder Dalton and I have been praying to find a family. And this last week we found like 4 different families to teach. We are so excited. God really does answer our prayers.. Sometime we have to wait for the answer and sometimes we have already received the answer to our prayers but maybe we just didn't realize it... Sometimes God answers our prayers in ways that we wouldn't think he would answer them... But I for sure know God loves us and he answers all of our prayers we just need to be patient and do our part so we can show him we are trying.. I love this gospel and sorry I am typing this as fast as I can so I can call my family. But I love all you guys. And I know this church is the true church. I love being a missionary. I am trying to soak it all up as much as I can before it's gone and I'm just a regular person again..

Also I'm not gunna read through it to see if there are any typos so hopefully it all makes sense.

Also shout out to my mom for sending me a package and getting me cadbury eggs and skittles....
