Visiting at Bdubs his dogs are crazy trained. |
We were hecka busy
So this week has been pretty good. We have been constantly busy but I honestly don't even remember what we were busy with but we were hecka busy. We had interviews with our mission president on Tuesday. So that was fun. It was good to talk to him.
On Wednesday. We met with one of the guys we have on date his name is Chris Schooley. He is solid. He is engaged to a member and he is basically already a member. So he will be baptized here in a couple weeks.
Thursday we went to bdubs for wings and also March madness was on so that's a plus. When we go to bdubs it's impossible to not look at the tvs. So I just except the sin now. Lol
Friday we had district meeting and that is always fun. We learned about leaving commitments and promising blessing and we also learned about teaching the plan of salvation simply. So it was a solid district meeting. Then Friday we had a couple lessons and we play basketball every Friday night here and non members and less active come and we had a pretty good turn out this week. There are some ballers who come and play with us. It's fun. Saturday we had a baptism. Well it was the sisters investigators but we have helped a little and they wanted us to baptize them so that was a cool experience except the water was negative 20 degrees because the water heater doesn't work in our building. When I got in the water I basically lost my manhood. Lol but the baptism went great. Except Carlos's foot came out if the water when I dunked him and he was freezing so he ran out of the font. And he was terrified because it was so cold and he had to come all the way back in and do it again. He was a trooper. The mom isn't a member and she came to church on Sunday and wants to be baptized so BLESSINGS. So the sisters will work with her and get her ready to be baptized.
On Sunday we got to give the Carlos and Thalia (the people we baptized) the holy ghost... also we got into a pretty big argument with our ward mission leader. Man me and that guy will have issues while I'm in this area. He is very strong opinionated but they are wrong. We are trying to get our ward to use facebook and show them how it's a tool we can use for missionary work, but our ward mission leader straight up said he will not help us because it's serves no purpose. Also he said he is too old for technology and I asked him how old all the apostles are. And he didn't answer because he knew where I was going with this. And I said they are 70 and 80 years old and they have facebook and Twitter. And he just goes "uh uh uh uh uhhhhhh elder we don't need to go there" haha I caught him... But we will work through our problems. Other than that the ward is great. It has been awesome here in Columbus.
