I have seen the blessing when I fulfill my calling with all my heart might mind and strength

This week has been fun! I honestly don't even remember what happened this week because time is flying... its going to fast!!! I still have so much to do here in Indiana.  Elder McRae and I have just been grinding hard here in Indianapolis.... #eastside  but yes we are working hard and we are finding new people to teach and we are trying to get in contact with all of our prior people... but we have had some stellar lesson and one specifically this week is when we were teaching a man named Marcos and he was found by the English missionaries, and whenever they find an Hispanic they just call us right there on the doorstep and they tell the people.... we don't speak Spanish but we have a friend and then they put us on speaker and we do the doorstep contact for them. so we go back to teach this dude and he is super interested in our message. He loved it but sadly... he is moving back to mexico in 2 weeks so we are gunna try and teach him as much as possible and get him rooted so we can pass him off to the missionaries in mexico...

A funny experience this week is last night... so yesterday it snowed and Indianapolis well just Indiana in general is terrible at plowing the roads... so yesterday we are on bikes and we are biking through the snowy roads and some of the roads have now turned into ~icy~ roads... which makes biking very fun.... I think we fell like 6 times each... I can remember a specific time we were biking and going pretty fast and we are on this suuuppppeerr icy road (and to put this in perspective, think about an ice rink, that's what this road is like) so we are biking and we are going straight and all of the sudden Elder McRae just goes down and he is sliding and he is still going the same speed as me but he is just sliding on the ground ahha. So eventually he stops and I am trying to slow down and turn around and my bike looses grip and I fall... so we are both laying down on this icy road just laughing our butts off and then these two 20 year old girls are outside of their car right next to us.. so they are like "omg are you guys okay??" and we are just laughing so then they start laughing and then it made for a good first contact... lol.  Also another falling story so now this icy road has a slight hill and we are going uphill and Elder McRae goes on the sidewalk where it's salted so there is no ice and he looks at me and is like "dude you are dumb, get on the side walk, you are gunna get hurt" and I say "yeah but i'm going to get the memories over here" and then not even .746328 seconds later... I ate it HARD. and I fell right on my shoulder and its still a little sore.. but man fun times,.... gotta love biking in the crazy weather of Indiana.

So for my spiritual thought... lately I have really been thinking about my calling as a full time missionary and the crazy things we see on a daily basis and the things we go through. I love it... sometimes I take for granted the work that I am doing and this wonderful opportunity that I have to serve the wonderful people in Indiana.  Specifically with the Hispanics and my Spanish... lately for some reason a bunch of people have been complimenting my Spanish and I have no idea why but honestly it has felt pretty good... never on my mission did I think I would be speaking Spanish. I love that I have basically served two different missions and its even cooler that I basically got year of one and a year of another. but I know that God has a hand in this work and I am his servant and I am doing his work... I know the reason that I have learned Spanish really good is because of that... I am doing His work and if its His work He is going to make me an instrument. There is power in this calling as a missionary and likewise there is power in every single calling that we have... I love the concept of equality in this church.... we are all children of God and we are all equal in his eyes... he doesn't love one child more than the other... for example, we all know I am the favorite child because I'm the youngest... that's just facts. but in Gods eyes, we are all just equal...idk where I was going with this.... oh yeah. We all have callings and there is power in fulfilling our callings. so no matter what you are... missionary, bishop, young women's counselor, nursery teacher, or even the librarian..... do the calling with all your effort and you will receive blessings... its simple as that. I know I have seen the blessing when I fulfill my calling with all my heart might mind and strength, because it shows God I am trying. yeah I'm not perfect..... only sometimes... but I mess up and God understands... but we just need to try and he will bless us. i have seen that more times that I can count.. so like 4. jk but seriously. with my Spanish and with my efforts on my mission I have seen the blessing when we fulfill our callings..

i love you guys, and i hope the best to everyone...

Also I want to put in perspective how much fun we have. Here is a conversation from Elder McRae and I...
me: "I would hate to have recessive genes" "to bad we cant just like buy genes and then we can have the ones that we want"
Elder McRae: "idk about you but I usually just go to old navy and I can get some pretty goood ~genes~"
