It's pretty cold right now over here in good Old Indiana
So this week has been pretty legit. It's pretty cold right now over here in good Old Indiana. But I wouldn't change anything right now. Life Is so great right now and I am loving it!!!
I have a lot of things that I could share if I had more Desires to write a super long email but I simply just want to write my Testimony. And share with you guys my thoughts from this week....
So lately I have really been diving deep into the Eternal Perspective and what we can accomplish in this life if we have an eternal perspective... And where this eternal Perspective takes us...
So basically there are tons of great general conference talks about how we can have this Eternal Perspective but it's hard to put into words all that I have learned.. But something that I thought was super cool was that we had a lesson this week with someone we are teaching his name is Rick, and he is white, but he is married to a Hispanic and so he speaks Spanish. And we brought a member with us and the member was bearing the most powerful testimony of eternal Families... And he said something that will probably stick with me forever... He said "everything we do in this life, all the small things we do everyday, are there to lead us to the temples.... Everything we do leads us to the temples" and that hit me. We wake up and we say our prayers and we read the scriptures (hopefully you guys are reading the scriptures daily, if not there is always tomorrow), but we do those things to strengthen our testimony and to ground ourselves stronger in the gospel so we can have a better ability to keep our temple covenants. Or we do those things so we can prepare to go to the temple.... And with this eternal Perspective we can make better choices in life to remember the importance of our temple covenants... EVERYTHING we do, needs to point us to the temple... And if it's not, then check your eternal Perspective and see if your vision of life is in line with God's vision.... But I know that God is out there and he is always on our side rooting us on. He wants us so badly to make it back to him. He loves us. We are his children. He wants us to do the things that we need to do in this life so he can bless us, and let me tell you, THERE ARE BLESSINGS OUT THERE.
But with this new testimony, my mindset has changed and I try and make every decision with this new eternal perspective. And I have been able to see the change in my happiness... It's not Momentarily but I feel an eternal happiness because I know I'm doing what I need to do to help my future.
Elder Turley
