Spanish Vikings - June 25, 2018

The District

We caught a bunch of fireflies... They are all over the place here. Its cool.

This Ant was on our windshield and it was legit the size of a quarter.

Exchanges with Elder Nielson
The Gift of Tongues is real.

So this week has been pretty long. Idk why but the 5th week of the transfer is always the longest for me. This week has been pretty crazy tho. But nevertheless, we continued to grind hard here in Elkhart and keep the work moving forward.

my week has consisted of Spanish, Spanish, exchanges, Spanish, phone calls with President, more Spanish, and you will never guess what else happened....  Spanish.

But 2 cool things that I want to talk about.

Exchanges... So I went with Elder Nielson, He is the district leader. And Elder McBride and I wanted to test my Spanish and see how I am doing so I stayed in our area and he went to the other city and the district leader came with me. But surprisingly, I was able to be completely okay on my own. I taught like 5 lessons on my own because Elder Nielson, the district leader, doesn't know Spanish. So it was a big confidence booster to know that I will be okay when Elder McBride goes home in one week. But yeah that was a super cool and humbling experience. It is cool to see how far I have come in my Spanish and it has only been 5 weeks. Gift of tongues is real.

Second thing I wanted to talk about.... Phone calls with Prez Dawg... He has called me for the past 3 days about who my next companion is going to be. I have 3 options... Either train a band new missionary, train a missionary from English to Spanish, or go back to English speaking. And I told president that the third option wasn't going to happen. Lol. So we basically narrowed it down to me training an English missionary to Spanish. And I basically already know who my comp is next transfer, because president, Elder McBride and i went through a bunch of options and we narrowed down who would be a good Spanish candidate and who could be a zone leader with me. But it was super weird basically telling president who my comp should be and now I know my next transfer fate. Haha

Also idk why that's the heading really. Some guy in church in the English ward said we look like Vikings. And then I was like but we speak spanish and then he continued to say... Ohhh sooo Spanish Vikings. I thought it was hilarious.

A little spiritual message. God loves you. Don't forget it.
