Interviews for this transfer started on Monday and Tuesday (August 20 and 21, 2018) at the South Bend stake center and the Elkhart building with these great missionaries......(from the mission facebook page)

Left is the day I flew to Indiana
Right is almost a month ago.

This week has been FULL of miracles!

Honestly seeing all my friends and missionaries and others friends older siblings coming home from their mission or college makes me super happy for them but also it makes me really trunky and wishing I could be there hahaha

This week has been FULL of miracles. Has been filled with basketball, food, grandmas, more basketball, exchanges, and more food! So put on a blanket and start snuggling because it's about to get ~cozy~

But first off let's talk about basketball. So since we live in a really ghetto area, there is this park that all the ~hoodlums~ go to. And there are always people playing ball. So elder moake and I have taken upon our selves to go play with these people. And at first the people didn't like us because we were in shirts and tie.... BUT THEN... We beat them. And now they love us. We have a group message and they text us all the time want us coming to play ball. So we go play every night. And I have grown to love street ball. It's pretty fun. There are basically no rules. Haha✊🏾And now all the ~hoodlums~ in Elkhart know us for that. But sometimes it's a little sketchy, we will tell people that we go down there and they are like "man I would never got here its not very safe" but we are on the good side of the ~hoodlums~ so we straight.

Okay so we had an awesome miracle. We had some lady refer herself and she wanted a book of Mormon probably like 2 weeks ago. And we went over there and I wasn't her biggest fan. But that was my fault for not having a good attitude about it. BUT THEN. We went back. And I FREAKING LOVE HER. her name is socorro. And we just call her abuela, which is grandma in Spanish. And she calls us her grandchildren. And she made us a bunch of food and it was so good. We had left overs all week. And we are going back on Tuesday... AND SHE CAME TO CHURCH. and she brought her other grandchild. And the 7 year old girl said "my grandma told me that you guys are also her grandchildren, but that doesn't make sense because you arent my brothers" it was funny. But they loved church! And socorro is getting baptized on Sept 15! I'm so excited.

Also I went on exchanges with elder sheeran this week! He came out to the MTC with me and we even slept in the same room back in the day 😍 but we had an awesome exchange and definitely bro'ed out and talked about home stuff hahaha. But it was cool to see how far back we go even before the Mish and how close our families actually are. He's also reading this rn so... You're gay elder sheeran.

Also we had another cool miracle. We were out knocking doors and we saw this Hispanic guy outside so we go over and knock on his door. And my go to thing on a doorstep is to talk about food. It always works. So we talk to him for a little and finally he said he was from El Salvador. And a little background, that is where they make papusas. So I ask him "ohh so do you like making papusas." and he said "oh yeah my wife does, how you guys ever had them?" I have a couple time but elder moake, never. And when we told him that he was like ohhh come in come in. So he then introduced us to his wife and proceeded to tell her that she needed to make papusas for us and then he made a return appointment for us to come back and eat and share a message with them. He said "of course we will feed 2 servants of the lords papusas. The more I have you guys in my house, the more I can feel closer to God" so yeah that was dope. We eaten good next week.
