-My Study Desk- |
So this week has been pretty dang fabulous.
We have just been grinding super hard here in Elkhart. I have especially been grinding hard to learn more Spanish.
My Spanish is going good and I can do a lot more than I could before. This week my companion, Elder McBride wouldn't talk and force me to talk. ONE TIME I was talking to someone and they were like "ohh you know good Spanish, does your friend not know Spanish?" and then Elder McBride fluently started talking to him and he was mind blown. It was funny. So for a hot second, someone thought I knew more Spanish then my comp.
Hmmm I cant really think about what I did this week because the weeks are flying by and I honestly can't remember what happened because everything was in Spanish lol. but we helped someone do some construction this week and he took us to a Mexican restaurant after and I got a torta! They are bomb. also we did service at Diana y Daniels house. we were helping clean our their nasty pool and there was a ton of tad poles so we kept 2 of them and kept them as pets in our house. We fed them protein powder (by the way I am out, RIP), and we fed them cheerios. but sadly chimuelo (one of our tadpoles names) died. so we flushed him down the toilet. So we flushed the other one so he could have a happy life in the sewer.
We had a General Authority come and speak to us as a mission like 2 weeks ago. He talked a lot about obedience. So as I was thinking about my life and my progress in the gospel, I thought to myself that I have been doing awesome. and that I have come a long ways from where I was before the mission. BUT there is always more that we can do for God and there was still more I could do, So that I could be exactly obedient and get more blessings from God. So I fixed the things that I needed to fix and corrected the things that I needed to correct. and I have seen my life and the missionary work just take off. God definitely blesses us when we are exactly obedient. I need the gift of tongues more than ever in my life right now, and I have truly seen the gift of tongues in my life these past 2 weeks. I wouldn't be able to learn this much Spanish if it weren't for the help that I am getting from my Heavenly Father. this is His work, and He wants his missionaries to be the best they can so I know He helps me and will continue to help me as long as I keep trying to follow the commandments and be exactly obedient.
